Our Business Model

Neighborly Hosts exists to keep value with the people who create it. We keep fees low, reward verified hosts, and automate hospitality so the experience—not the platform—takes center stage.

What We Know Today

This model is intentionally simple while we pilot. As we gather booking data, we'll publish detailed unit economics here.

Fair Fees

Typical platforms charge hosts and guests 15-20%. Neighborly aims for ~5% to cover communication and payments, letting both sides keep more.

Verification Matters

Property owners and damage waivers unlock the best rates. Hosts trust hosts, which reduces risk and cost for everyone.

Shared Value

Guests save 5-10%, hosts save 10-15%, and the platform stays sustainable through lightweight, open tooling.

Pilot First

We’re launching in Rehoboth Beach (19971) to prove the model before expanding to more coastal communities.

Revenue & Savings Snapshot

  • • Platform fee target: ~5% to cover communications, payment processing, and light automation.
  • • Host savings: 10-15% vs. typical platform fees.
  • • Guest savings: 5-10% on bookings; +2% for $100/year frequent traveler membership.
  • • Verification unlocks discounts: property owners and damage waivers reduce risk and cost.

Detailed route economics, churn assumptions, and acquisition costs will be shared after the 19971 pilot completes.
